this is indeed in kranji. Kranji Reservoir for those who are interested. its very deserted.. compared to the seletar dam

i was working late from saturday night all the way to sunday morning.. but my desire/ inspiration to come here was sparked off from a trip earlier in the month when i drove past the place mid morning and saw that the sun actually would have come up in that direction. i was driving from Neo Tiew from Lim Chu Kang Rd towards Kranji Road. I stop before crossing the dam and just waited for the time..

i was dogged tired then.. but i guess its worth it.. really made my day although i had to go back to catch some sleep after that..

affordable.. hmm.. depends on how u look at it.. there isn any buses ploughing through this place..

i think the lim chu kang area is full of hidden treasure such as this cos its off everyone's radar and not commonly accessed.

while i was doing in-camp. there are some very spectacular scenery in some of the training areas that are out of bounds to the public..

its a price to pay..

and sometimes it doesn't come cheap.. very often.. with sacrifice.. in this case.. sacrifice some sleep..

for me the time was quite right.. i just had to tahan a bit longer.. and i m glad the outcome wasn't disappointing.

Yea, I agree that sometimes to capture that nice picture, there will be things u'll need to sacrifice. And I salute u for doing juz that and giving us (and urself) a glimpse of how beautiful SG looks like in the early morning.

p/s: im juz being picky here... Embarassed But hor, in some of the pics, the land opposite and its reflection creates a weird black patch in the middle of the pic. ^^; But the sky is breath-taking nevertheless ^^b

no.. u r not picky.. i agree with you..its quite an eyesore..taking those away would make it near perfect.. basically those "black patches" are trees.. and i believe they are there to conceal the factories behind them.. its the kranji/ sungei kadut industrial estate behind that and it would have broken the landscape in the day time..

i believe the day time view of this place will also be spectacular.. if you have a blue sky.. then you can see the green trees and its mirrored reflection over the reservoir.. would have also made a breathtaking shot

but I am not sure if there could have been anything cos the i can't really avoid them from the angle where I am shooting at and it. Rolling Eyes

nope.. i live in the west side.. so for me.. it really isn that far.. of course it made more convenient cos i drive..

beautiful place.
kranji is one of the last secluded places in SG.
so quiet and peaceful.
I used to evening stroll there when i need time alone to think.
but be careful of crocs and big monitor lizards
