want to give my contribution and critique.
Well, basically many of these photos lack a definite subject, which
is important because when a viewer sees a photo, there must be
certain things to draw the eye to in order to make the photo look
outstanding. Furthermore, the subject must be interesting and
captivating as well.
When I look at the pictures, I see mostly nice sky and water, but
besides that there is really nothing to see.
To me, a photo must have an [b]intention and/or an
originality of concept. This means your photos
must convey a meaning and tell a story, but if you do not want
that, the photo must be aesthetically pleasing to the point that it
is original and has not been done before.
These photos are great in their own right, but if you want to
improve your shots, you have to keep these tips in mind.
I know you may not be a professional with big equipment, but these
little tips will help you take much better pictures in the future!

I feel that the definite subject is no other than - the sunrise.
I see peace and serenity in the photo and that is the intention in
my opinion. To me the photos are very original and has not been
touched. Its something possible with his dSLR.
I guess we have our own opinions but i have submitted photos to
stock so its funny when one accepts a photo while the other rejects
the similar photo that i submitted. All looked for composition in a
photo but mine was rejected for it and accepted by the other
without compositional issues.
Maybe point blue can show us some photos of the the same location
shot by himeself sometime.
