Anyway, Singapore's suffrage age is 21, so 18 is still considered
young. Furthermore, its not only just about age. When I wrote 18
year old young girl, I used it to mean 18 + young, not 18 = young.
A person who been tru a lot or just somehow mature faster can be
matured at a younger age than an average person. The norm however
is that when people are still schooling, other than tertiary
education, are normally considered young.
Most People shoulder certain responsibility at young ages and the
punishment met out are always balanced to this reponsibility. The
punishment is also levelled against their peers of the same age
group. So like in the case of Wee, she's only 18, normal ranting
age, has responsibility for sure, but most 18 year old don't get to
the step of having to shut down their own blog because of an entry.
Of course the racism remarks one different lar because of political
context.
