I read the local newspapers for local news. I know they're
heavily censored and are far from objective, but otherwise I don't
see much of a choice. I still need to know what goes on around
me.
That said, I read Newsweek and Time. Even so, I sometimes find the
articles lacking in content and the editorial slant a bit too
pro-Yankee for my liking.
I do read The Economist, too, for it's more objective and the
articles have a lot more depth, but it can make for pretty dry
reading sometimes.
