I used to have respect for Mr. Lee but by implying all opposition to his governement as being rubbish, he has insulted us all. Is he saying that if you're not a PAP supporter you're nothing but rubbish? if Mr. Lee has no respect for his fellow country man why should we give him any respect? I realise that the older generation has a trend of talking bad about LKY but most of them still voted for him. I think this has become just a mouth habit. Talking bad about LKY just comes naturally, but it's just for chat's sake.

Would the opposition parties who promise you better lifts for your block or things as such, be able to achieve this? I wouldnt say no, but the fact is that the PAP did it already and this proves their calibre already!

What's with Singaporeans these days? I am not saying that we should listen blindly to the PAP, but are you sure that the opposition can govern Singapore better than PAP?

DO NOT VOTE FOR THE OPPOSITION JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT THE PAP DOES NOT DO THINGS THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO BECAUSE THE OPPOSITION MAY NOT BE UP TO YOUR STANDARD TOO. ONLY VOTE FOR THE OPPOSITION IF YOU THINK THEY CAN DO THE JOB BETTER THAN THE PAP.

I realise Singaporeans these days really like to complain a lot... I think this is the result of higher levels of education... Youngsters these days think and argue too much... It is a good sign but I think it's used in the wrong manner... Basically I see that people argue for the sake of arguing.. The whole point being that they do not want to lose the argument... Assume 1945 as time 0. Every country in the world was in a shitty state, just like singapore.

Forward 60 years from time 0, countries and areas equally devastated by WW2 - Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan are doing as well as singapore.

So why are they doing as well as sg?

1. Its because of the overall hardworkingness of their population. Just like us, they have a hardworking east Asian population. Just like our forefathers, their forefathers worked hard and we get the same results now.

2. The global growth after the war resulting from after-war-reconstruction efforts helped every country to grow.
