However in Queensland, Opposition and independent MPs
walked out of Parliament today to avoid taking part in a minute's
silence for Nguyen.
The State Government had called on the Parliament to make the
gesture, to demonstrate opposition to capital punishment.
Non-government MPs said they were also against the death penalty
but said a minute's silence was not appropriate.
Independent Maryborough MP Chris Foley said he could not support
the motion
"I am opposed to the death penalty and I feel desperately sorry for
the family, in particular the mother of Van Nguyen," he said.
"However I believe that it is an insult to war heroes of Australia
to afford a convicted drug dealer the same one minute's
silence."
2.What kind a world nowadays?One minute's silence for a drugs
trafficker
who is a co-murders ,though slowly,of many peoples?
3.The fact,if so,that he has been converted to a Catholic
does not help.
How about he has been converted to
other religion,say Muslim?
Will there so many
Australian support him?
I am not respectful to him for conversion to any religion.
But the young Australian lady who pretended to be Muslim
is just a hot story.Therefore,very sorry,this 'false
conversion'
cannot be ruled out.
4.I read today 02.12.2005 Strait Times forum that his
twin brother was a drug addict.
Can any one comment on this with proof.
If this is the case,he was too much.He should have seen
the pains caused by drug and he still went for it.
5.
Why his twin brother owes so much
money----drugs,gambling?
Have Aussie medias help to cover that his twin brother
is a grug addict?
