Drug traffickers are every bit as immoral as arms smugglers for
terrorists. They knew the drugs would destroy lives, they knew the
consequences when people used drugs. They don't only transport
drugs, drug traffickers were known to peddle the wares themselves
to kids, children.
They knew the drugs would kill some of these children, they knew
the drugs would have a permanent strain on these kids, they knew
these kids have parents but all they wanted was money.
Are they 'kind', 'caring', 'good-hearted' souls when they
trafficked drugs? Are they not worse than kidnappers who take a
child away from parents for a few days? Are they not worse than
thieves when they take the precious lives away? Are they lesser
evils?
I doubt so. Of course I don't feel it's any right of anyone to kill
another, may it be a sentence passed by law. Yet I'm convinced any
drug trafficker is every bit as bad as arms smugglers.
I can't convince myself to see him as someone who committed a minor
crime. In fact, I see him as someone who committed a major
crime.
Yes I'm not convinced he should die since he had yet to harm anyone
or at least he wasn't found guilty previously before. His deeds are
still as dark as ever. He is no lesser evil when compared to
someone planning a murder. Whether the demand was there for the
drugs, I do not see why he should not be seen as an equivalent of
an arms dealer.
