This will as usual be told to us Singaporeans that democracy is
chaos and demonstration and autocracy is good.
But all these were half-baked and not the truths. To have people
with a sense of passion for their country is a good thing in the
long term stability of a country.
It will prevent abuse of power, constant refusal to accept mistakes
and problems with polcies, lack of accountability and transparency,
losses of feedom of expressions and press control, defamation suits
against political oppositions, vote buying with flat upgrading, and
election-time goodies, self-paying of million-dollar salaries for
ministers and Temasek-type billion-dollar losses in all kinds of
overseas investments without corresponding benefits or job
creations for own citizens.
