Aveme SG even if you want to do it,they may even subject you to psycological tests first to ensure you can take such death scene.Beside have you really seen a person dying infront of you before?
OH-FF SG I have been dead before , I can go for a try , though I do not know the way. Its is a burden you do not have to bear , The scene is terrible , and the black cloths do not make your souls any cleaner.
ndsef SG I’ve got a perfect solution… Get those convicted for 1st degree murder to do it. Anyway, they have done it before, killing someone. So this wun freak them out.
OH-FF SG There is a difference in murder and executions. Executions are done without a murder motive. It is to complete a legal procedure.
Aveme SG yes the person will have to say something like pal,i am sending you on your way.Dun feel so sad kinda stuff.Maybe even give a last prayer or something
LazerLordz SG A legal procedure with all the forms and regulations to help ease the knowledge that the man still pulled the lever. It is the actualisation of the act at its base form that forms our aversion to death.
mistyblue SG why can our great govt automate the hanging system since they can automate the road tax collection system in the form of ERP. Hanging should be easy since the fellow is suppose to die and there are lots of test subjects to try and retry till its perfect...
OH-FF SG The same excutioner will face the same problem putting the convict on the conveyor belt and pressing the button.
mistyblue SG Automate end to end lah. The prison lie in bed, next morning his bed will will a remote control that sends him off to the execution hall and the same bed would hang him loh. All are programmed in one by some poorly paid data entry clerk who don't know what she/he is entering.. While all this happen, the prison warden and everyone in prison will be watching Teletubies and Barney..
stellazio SG why they don't use electric chair..much faster and less pain..person wan to die liao let him go without torture la..
Rahmania SG It's murder. Legal or not. It is still MURDER. Anyone doing the job of MR Singh has got blood on his hands
kc_leung SG Same reason why we dun use the guillotine anymore... too messy? I remember watching a movie (based on true story) where the executioner forgot to put a wet sponge on the convict's head before applying the electrodes there. Then when the power was turned on the guy kena burned to a black charred crisp.
Ito_^ SG Originally posted by Rahmania: It's murder. Legal or not. It is still MURDER. Anyone doing the job of MR Singh has got blood on his handsif that is the case - wouldn't that makes the people who accept this law an indirect murderer? or at least the accomplice?
