You didnt get my point (at least i dont think you did because if
you did i dont think youd disagree) but thats my bad again because
i just reread my paragraph and its bullshitworded.
Anyway, i was just trying to argue that the way he worded it left
holes for other interpretations which would not have caused so much
or a ruckus with yous people.
Let me try again? Although i most prolly wont get it thru this time
either:
"10 things to consider when marrying a typical sg
girl"
Ok, read it. Understand it?
Now read this:
Erhmm thinger, what I understand from the word 'typical' is that
it applies to the majority and not the minority.
I agree that there are girls which meet his 10 pts but they are not
common enough to be labelled as 'typical'.
I'm not trying to say that the 10sins gazelle mentions are
typical attributes of Singaporean girls. In your sentence,
I agree that there are girls
which meet his 10 pts but they are not common enough to be labelled
as 'typical', you are coming from the perspective that what
the statement means is that his 10 points apply to the typical
girl.
What im saying is that you could interpret gazelles statement
differently:
Asuming that that the 10points apply to singaporean girls only, it
is fair to then infer that the one (male) marrying ONLY has to be
wary, if he is marrying a singaporean girl. Right? Okay.
But take it one step further, and assume that the 10sins are most
frequently noticed in THE AVERAGE (read: typical) singapore girl.
Not the upper class educated female population, or the alternative
crowd or other social groups. Just the average, or typical.
If you thought about his statement that way, it would be a fair
statement wouldnt it?
pfft im late for dinner. cherrios people. later.
