Therefore I take it that you indirectly support the June 4
incident because you are not in support if anyone who speaks up
about that?I respect Wang Dan.he had the vision to lead the
students in demanding more transparency and accountability from the
government.Where is he now?In self-imposed exile in US, working as
a Professor in Harvard. Is this the kind of government that you
silently back?Someone with vision is ignored and perscuted? My
country may not be a very free nation and public protest is nearly
non-existent due to certain historical reasons and the fact that
the people who went through the 60s' riots are still alive, but at
least we do not send in tanks to crush and roll over our own
countrymen. When you look at the unnamed and unarmed demonstrator
being crushed by a tank, it only shows to the world that your
government is a ruthless and childish one.One that is thin-skinned
and fears the people.
There may be similar parallels in the political climate but since
your then politburo decided to roll the tanks in and send in your
special forces to surround Tiananmen Square and fire on unarmed
fellow Chinese who only wish to be heard and have a say in their
future, your politicians have lost that right to criticise others.I
believe that not all PRC citizens are belligerent and most(esp.the
educated ones) realise the slippery slope China will fall down if
it's led on this path of aggrandization and arrogance.
