view on homo.Does it relate to the debate "Is homo right?"?
of course it does. if society had never had a consensus or a
monolithic view about sexuality, and different practices had
predominated in different times, then who are we to say that THIS
society is "right" or "wrong" ???
if we say that, does it mean that the ancient Greeks were "wrong"?
or renaissance europe was "wrong" ??? or are ancient Southeast
Asian societies "wrong" ???
homosexuality had existed since goodness knows when EVERYWHERE...
but the idea that it can be "right" or "wrong" is clearly a modern
construct. and a rather senseless one when u consider that people
should not be judged by who they fúck.
maybe WE are the ones that are "wrong". homophobia is a distinctly
MODERN state of mind.
U said my view is unreasonable. Ask u to give your reason. No
reason was given.Asked u :can we say homo is natural &
normal.No answer from u.
no reason? how about the fact that they just REEK of ignorance
and bigotry?
how about the fact that u have brought up NO supporting
evidence?
how about the fact that most of us find your understanding of the
subject LIMITED and choice of words OFFENSIVE.
is homosexuality "natural"? well, it is naturally occurring among
mammals. it is naturally occurring among humans. but among humans
who live in complex societies, are u sure that it is possible to
categorise everything simply as (a) or (b)? what about
socialization? is that a valid point to bring in?
i already told u that the topic defies a simple answer. u just
refuse to accept that and your ignorance makes me sick.
If u think u waste your time to talk to me,then it is ok not to
continue to debate with me.
u're right there... u are a waste of time... but i would rather
engage u than to let your ignorance stink up this forum.
For a person like u who can't or wouldn't even answer the
question: Is heterosexuality right?
i already told u that this a STUPID question. what's so right OR
wrong about a physical act??? is it right to pee sitting down? is
it right to breathe with our nose or our mouth?
How can we expect u to know about homosexuality? So don't blah
blah blah a lot of nonsense to confuse the readers.
now, the rest of us finds out more by READING and keeping an
open mind. YOU are the only one confused here.
for starters, why don't u go read Mitchel Foucault's The History of Sexuality . Foucault
brings up the issue of not WHAT sexuality is, but
HOW societies had constructed the understanding of
it.
