That's better.
I'm talking about their way of defending the indefensible and being
egocentric about it. Examples:
- Mururoa Atoll - they don't see a problem with creating a
radioactive mess in somebody else's backyard. At least the
Pakistanis have the decency to do it on their own turf
- bulldozing the cemeteries of Australian WW1 soldiers - who fell
fighting to protect their worthless arses, mind you - for a lousy
airport
- trying to play saint by opposing the Iraq war, then doing a
complete backflip by banning Islamic dress. The birthplace of
democracy? Try the birthplace of hypocrisy, mate. Besides, FFS, the
defence of France in WW2 took how long? 48 minutes before they
rolled over?
The French individuals I have spoken to have been particularly
obnoxious about defending these things, basically acting like
they've got all right to do as they bloody please while claiming a
place on the world stage, and that rubs me the wrong way.
Happy?
