hee... come think of it... if the enciks never enforce area
cleaning, our bunks would be as clean as a manhole...
its a necessary evil lah... i remember after coming back from
overseas training once... we had cleaned and sealed the bunks, but
when we un-sealed them, the bunks got cob webs EVERYWHERE and the
dust layer was as thick as the TSR/TDR manuals... it was
GROSS.
the encik checked out the lobo's bunk (those who didn't go for the
overseas) the same day and it was a veritable SHIT-HOLE! (hee...
all the lobos sign extras after that... fun...)
and the armskote had to be sealed too so we oiled the weapons
thickly before that... when we got back, it was BONE DRY and nearly
rusty!
routine maintenance must be taken seriously even though its a pain
in the arse... thats one thing i've learnt and applied to my daily
life now.
besides, people fall sick easily when they live in squalid
surroundings... especially now got SARS... better clean up properly
or the ka-chuak and the rats spread the disease then u know
