Dreamz FM vs Sun Yanzi

Zilchster SG

Actually if Dreamz FM...started out with a bang in Taiwan and later come back to SG...i think there would be a lot of fans...

This case applies to both Stef and Stella...would anyone like them if they started out in SG?

It's just a fad...

And Dreamz Fm fans dun amount to prob half of wat steffie has...actually their music is quite accepted...but without much advertising and gimmicks...and u can't sing their songs in KTVs...geez...this takes off a lot...

I dun tink Dreamz FM would be as pop as Stefanie Sun...or at least be that HOT as Sun is or will be 'was'...watever...but i believe they will have their support from their regular fans.

Dreamz came in fourth in the list of most popular bands on 933 this year... bravo!
The top three were 1. Mayday 2. Tension 3. F4

Yanzi came out tops in the most popular female artiste category. The others are 2. A*Mei 3. Sammi Cheng 4. Faye Wong

Zilchster SG

Kinda disappointed that Dreamz fm only managed to clinch the 4th spot…hoping they would be able to take the third…haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

b|ueapp|ez SG

whoa! took a look at the results and realised tt the top 3 female artistes are all from warnermusic…no wonder warnermusic is aka tian(1) hou(4) gong(1)

Zilchster SG

Thanks for the mentioned Blueapplez…did take notice…top 3 all from warner music…but absent is Na Ying…maybe her marketability not so good in SG.

Latest buzz is that A*Mei is neck-to-neck with Jay Chou to represent Taiwan at the MTV awards.... Jay is said to have pulled ahead. If not wrong, closing date for polling is tomorrow.

My heart says A*Mei but my head says Jay will win... he's simply on a roll.

For Spore... too boring to discuss lah ... ZZZzzzz

Zilchster SG

I dunno abt the competition in SG...but i think Yanzi would probably take the award.

Actually...it's an honour to be nominated especially for those in Taiwan and Hong Kong...whereby they have many many singers...names like Jolin, Faye, Sandy Lam, Coco Lee are all missing...in fact Elva, Wu Bai, Mayday, Ah Mei and Jay should be congratulated liao...

Well...has jay caught with ah mei? Whatever happened to Mayday...Mayday was winning Ah mei...gonna be a tough fight man...but Jay is the IT and GOLDEN boy...hmmmz...Ah Mei is a national treasure...hmmz...tough fight...

Saw Jay Chou in a publicity clip on tv inviting pple to attend the mtv asia awards. Maybe the IT boy of Mando pop has the Taiwan race sewn up? .... just guessing lor.

haha...i've been very actively "promoting"
dreamz fm's music to my friends cos i think the problem is they don't get much exposure to it and even if they did the only thing they know is bu zhi de... i must say, although it's an uphill task.. sometimes it works... after i lent my dfm2 cd to my fren she went out to buy it... and when my other fren expressed even the slightest interest, and b4 he could even say "dfm", i had already dumped the 2nd and 3rd album in his hands... he told later that he went to download almost the whole 1st, 2nd album onto his mp3 player when he first got his mp3 player... and today, am having a family gathering, going to bring along my 2nd and 3rd album for my cousin (who listens only to eng songs).. talked to her about them the other day and she was quite interested... so here i go again... haha.

Downloading songs is a form of piracy too…advise whoever who wants to do that against it…especially if you are downloading the whole album. I think the singer rather the downloader not listen to the music at all!

Talking about MTV Asia Awards...and the recently Channel V Awards...there are some discontentment...

The former...it is said Sammi, Yanzi and Na Ying are going to bag awards...and when MTV refused to sort of play it by Warner...Warner threatened not to let their artistes attend. Same case goes for Ah Mei...Ah Mei was leading the race in Taiwan...Warner wanted MTV to let Ah Mei get the award...Rock protested...becoz of Mayday...but Rock heard rumours that Jay would win.

As for the Channel V awards...Becoz Mayday did not get one prize...whereas Zhang Yu could get...they intend to boycott Channel V awards.

To Dreamz FM fans...sorry lar...but even if yanzi does not show up...she would still in...after all...she still has one new album...and for dreamz to get in...it's their luck!

Whatever politics going on behind the MTV
Asia awards, I'm just delighted that A*mei prevailed.... A*mei wan sui! Smile Smile Smile

Stefanie won as expected, but she started the song Someone rather badly... honestly I couldn't make out what she was singing in the beginning. Then Na Ying took over and her crisp, solid vocals really put Stef's in the shade Sad

I sympathise with Dreamz for being co-presenters with a Msian artiste Ziana Zain... the Thai "joke" fell flat.

But the biggest disgrace of the nite must be when host Ronan Keating made fun of Spore as a "fine city" with t-shirt in tow.... absolutely distasteful.
