I don't know about TS's mum but I missed my mum. We have issues
since I was young. I am the middle child and always lack of care,
love and concern. I seek attention by behaving badly, mischievously
and I never knew it until I read about it years later after I
became an adult. It's the common traits for middle child as they
are sandwiched by 2 other siblings.
My mum and I were loggerheads. We fight always, I ran away from
home many times. She hit me and I hit her back, she scold me and I
scold her back, I even cursed her many times. I am such a F U brat
in the past.
Now that I am older only to realise family members are the most
important people in our lives. They are the only one we can trust
and they are the only one we can truly be ourselves without fear of
unacceptance, especially our mothers because they gave birth to us
after many months of suffering and that's why our birthdays are
also know as the 母亲受难日.
Treasure your loved ones before it's too late and this sentence
is too true but many fail to understand.
I agree we have to be realistic and therefore we shouldn't
expect too much from a domestic helper.
Give them a schedule or a timetable to follow and many chores
are not done daily I am sure there is a way to cope with a small
family of 4.
I know we side tracked but I just want to share my thoughts and
feelings. I don't live in Singapore anymore and my family is a few
thousand miles away from me, half the time I cry myself to sleep
because I missed them and I really want to be with them but it does
not permits me due to my current and probably future commitments.
=(
Some times...a family get along better when they don't live
together.
Mothers are human beings.. they do have their personal
prejudices and preferences.
Some are more self-ish than others.. some are more giving
and nurturing.
You are an adult now. Time to blaze your own trail in life.
"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot
visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like
you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent
forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He
bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and
far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow
that is stable."
