I foresee a rationalisation of bus routes in Tuas, Singapore when the Tuas West MRT stations open.

For local operators,

TT > SMRT = GA >>>>> SBST

I hate SBST to the core. Its buses are now coming later than ever, and they have zero sense on deployments. Their buses are getting worse than SMRT's (which rly tells a lot), and they can STILL act like they're boss by domineering LTA on bus types, depot space allocation etc. My area here, svc 2 has become a world better after GA took over — full fleet DDs, punctual buses and well-maintained, clean fleet. So good riddance to SBST!! Of you think Yishun is bad enough you would not want to imagine SBST taking it over.

Replace SBST with SMRT, and we have those #SMRTBANGSAT lobbyists. Is it really coming down to lobbyists v lobbyists these days?

Even if it is true for no 2, it is certainly not true for no 6 and 386. I have met many situations. Recently I was at one bus stop waiting for service 386. The driver saw me and refused to open the door and drove off. Luckily there was another bus 386 just behind. The driver saw what has happened ahead and apologized to me on behalf of the earlier driver. I just smiled and boarded. So how? Is Go Ahead good or bad like this???

So it boils down to people perception only. Good or no good all depends on circumstances. Does not really mean Sbst or go Ahead is good or no good. So let's do the sensible thing of not condemning sbst or smrt or tower transit or go ahead. Cheers. Thanks.

This kind of situation happened to me twice or thrice, all on SBST svc (5, 31). Basically the driver only does this coz he knows there is a bus behind, and wants you to board the next bus. This explains why "there was another bus 386 just behind". It could be due to the bus being packed, the bus already moving, or the bus is severely behind schedule etc. This is a rather tolerable action IMO, and happens across the bus industry in SG. So no, GA is not at fault for this.

Haiyo got bus just take la, thats my entire point you see.. Its not like you're trapped in the middle of nowhere and that's the last bus or sth right?

I believe if the driver realised the next bus is some distance away he would open the doors for you.. Its not in his interest not to do so also, these drivers also need to fill their rice bowls yknow..

Maybe the second driver said sorry just to show some courtesy.. He has no time to assess situation so this should be his instinctive response.. Maybe you show black face before u boarded the bus? Haha all a possibility bro

SBST:No more B10M DM3500,Sudden death of VSO & Tridents and newer B9TL/A95 replace them instead.

Seletar operator:Get the 15 LG E500 and maybe get a few A95.

VSO & Tridents is only Euro II..and by LTA standards its not a WAB even though its low floor.
