I don't know what is your current profession.. but a man needs to do what he needs to do..to provide for his love one.

I am actually the one stopping him from getting a full time job now...because he is pursuing his dream to become a freelancer. I don't want him to quit now and have regrets later. We have already agreed that I will give him a year to try this path out but if by the end of the year it still does not yield enough, then he can go and get a full time job without regrets anymore because at least he did try his best in pursuing his dream.

I believe that as a wife I need to stand behind him and support him while he is pursuing his dreams...a few times he did mention he wants to quit and just go find a full time job but I stopped him each time...

No no, I am not telling him what to do...it is his decision to stay in this path and try it out for the next one year. The few times he said he wants to quit this path and go back to a full time job, I can sense his reluctance and I also felt that he is saying that because he feels he needs to...so that's why I stopped him and asked him to concentrate on what he is doing now...

Anyway this is just what I thought...but he's here, so he can tell you what he really thinks.

I'm not bitter, just reading about an unfilial daughter trying to fulfill her parents' expectations and using it as an excuse to hide her own greed for a banquet that she can't afford and most certainly don't deserved.

Have you realised that she's not taking in your advises too? You should be sensible enough to realise it even if you're not smart and also because you're OLDer?
