He is just expressing how he feels. Then what do you want him to
say ? Although, it is very irresponsible in saying that.

I am not blaming him for saying that. It's just that when
he says that, I get confused because I assume that if a person
likes you, he/she naturally wants to be with the
person.
And if like what you said, he likes me but does not want to be
in a relationship, how am I supposed to react to that?

A guy friend once told me, you will forget the person if you're
able to find another person with whom you can go into a
relationship with. By that time, you'd be focusing so much on your
new beloved that you won't have the time and energy to think about
your past crush. By insinuating crush, I mean a liking that will
