That is for now. Priority seems to be focusing on frequency
first (especially the increase in line with BSEP and higher QoS
standards), then capacity.
It will be a bit hard to believe all 200 Enviro500 MMCs would
fail to displace any bendy buses for redeployment on feeder routes.
If SMRT is thinking straight, some of the current DD routes should
be emptied of all its bendy bus fleet in the long term.
Yes... agreed.. but
seems like 100 units of SMRT will be registered first.. which will
get deployed until end of year..
seems like only next
year SMRT services will take DDs with the way things look... and
then services like 190 should get MAN-->DD replacement rather
than bendy-->DD replacement to meet capacity needs.
Yishun also needs to
get its temp interchange soon. It is taking way too much time. 857
was said to get DDs in SMRT's first announcement.. no news yet coz
of Yishun interchange...
