Now we knew why SMRT only orders 101 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500.I guaranteed this will be a sucessful trial and probably they will order at least 150 units...

Actually dont get it... why 851 has not been one of the services to get DDs... it really needs it... and since it went WAB... the number of bendies have gone shrinking on this service. 857 also should be getting... hopefully at least Nov round.

851 has too much boarding and alighting activities along it's route and this makes it not that effective to use a DD. The limited amount of DDs are better placed on other services first, and it wont be long before it gets some DD and/or the incoming A24s.

For now the only way is to joint control with WL for DDs,851,854,857.852 just need an extra 2 buses,855 need 2 more A/P shift,860 and feeders can utilise bendies.

Since 860 is under BSEP... will not use bendies... in future once yishun gets upgraded will get DDs for sure.

They have to include more services now. The only service from initial list that has not got DD is sv 960. If the tree pruning activity along Dunearn is done.. then 960 will get 3 BSEP ADLs.

SMRT just need to adjust the timetable...and having a even realistic one..

I just love SBST's 1-2mins allowance before actual departure for driver to tap his/her card and drive the bus to the berth. This 1-2mins infact can ensure drivers won't lambat badly so easily..

It's not that DD dont work on 851, but like u said there's not enough to go around to completely replace all the bendies (or even all of the 851 buses) all at once.

Putting 1 or 2 will just cause it to lambat due to the high boarding and alighting activity which gives no benefit at this point. Just have patience and wait!

I hope so.. Coz all thos BSEP fleet add on feeder/intra town services in CCK/ yishun/ WDL deserve Bendies and not MANs.

Agreed... 911 has lost many bendies in the past years due to lack of bendies with SMRT... they try to do with lot of crossover slots to compensate for it during peak hours
