But future amendments will, it gives the impression some routes are prematurely introduced to inflate the quota. Fact.

The route should have gone to Yew Tee MRT and passing by Choa Chu Kang St 62 and then to North 6 and North 5 before heading back to Bukit Panjang

agreed, ridiculous freq, should at least give 15 mins freq, seems like LTA wanting to placate the limbang residents and GROs that lobbied for this route ammendment for sometime already, but should have at least a tighter frequency, or just start the service at the start of the ammended section, frequency can be improved w/o additional buses.

I agree, from north 5 i can just walk to cck drive to take 979 in less than 25 mins..
