If you're here to encourage people to take the MRT above the public bus, I feel that you have come to the wrong forum. SGTrains was created for a reason. So i...

At least Toa Payoh is a good example of a proper interchange; bus services are divided carefully instead of all cramming into a single section

And before woodlands temp int opened people said it was too small and will "confirm jam"..

Already jammed no need to confirm..Got marshalls is to ease the expected jams, peak hours more headache..

A Straits Times article said that Hougang has 48 parking lots now, and 11 more in the expansion. I counted 37 lots. I think they meant 48 lots after the expansion.

But sometimes there are BCs who don't park properly, so instead of 16 lots in a row, only 14 or 15 buses can park.

Also, some BCs refuse to park in the last lot in the row facing the alighting berths.

48 is including the side parkings..The expansion only good for 1 new service else back to square ones...

11 side parkings? Do you mean they counted the berths as well?

Not berth parking la,The one they always park at the road side when the lots is full,You can notice some split shift buses also park there.

I meant bef Woodlands Temp int opened..

The marshalls at CCK is to stop the buses entering parking when a bus is reversing and because there are many buses reversing during peak hour end up the buses waiting to park jam the road

Road side? Never see before...

Means you dont know la..If the buses wanna exit there is 2 lots on the left too..

Woodlands temp interchange is better than the old one according to me. The way buses used to loop twice in old interchange made it extremely inefficient and crowded. Now the situation is really good.

Yes. But I mean, where are the 11 roadside lots?

I counted these 2 lots in the 37 lots. 2 rows of 16 lots (32) + 3 lots parallel to alighting berth + 2 lots facing the exit.

SBS3004X SG

Got 1 CLOW lot for 325 not counted.

What have you been smoking. As bad as the old one was bad, the temporary one is not any better, in fact perhaps even worse. I say this as a daily user of the interchange.

Everyone has their opinions, so calm down

Is it me, or did someone feels that the walkway is too long?

TIB 585L SG

The walkway gone case sia. Can take 10-15 mins if im lucky to alight at the tail of the interchange and i have to walk all the way to the 'head' to take 856/950 out.

If the driver very good one alight 904 berth then lucky me, if not jialat peak hour, they alight at the extreme end of the interchange then bo pian

agree.. it is chaotic at the temp interchange.....they should built the parking lots as per the old interchange style... 2 rows of parking....should be wide enough to do so..

So basically 46 DDs will leave empty from interchange to st 83 as the berth is far away from 291/293.

In such a case I prefer if 46 rather just extend to Pasir Ris. At least will provide connectivity b/w Pasir Ris and Tampines West town.

Not true... Saw around 10-15 pax waiting for 46 at its berth today.

And 46 has very good loading towards Tampines Int (as people can just board whichever service that comes first). You would not see this if it had started from Pasir Ris and bypassed Tampines MRT instead.
