I am pleased to inform you that the opening date of Joo Koon Bus
Interchange has been announced.
Joo Koon Bus Interchange will open from 21 November 2015.
It will open in three phases, on 21 November, 28 November and 12
December.

Bus services
from the new Joo Koon Bus Interchange
The new Joo Koon Bus Interchange, which is part of the Joo Koon
Integrated Transport Hub, will open for passenger service on
Saturday, 21 November 2015.
Serving the Jurong Industrial Estate, eight bus services will
operate from this new interchange. Five are existing bus services -
99, 182/182M, 254, 255 and 257 - with changes to be made to their
routes. Three new services - 253, 256 and 258 - will be introduced.
In tandem, four other bus routes - 192, 193, 194 and 251 - that
originate from the Boon Lay Bus Interchange will also be amended.
All these 12 bus routes will roll out in three phases for a
smoother transition, starting from 21 November to 12 December
2015.
Phase One - 21 November 2015
Service 99: It will be extended to serve Joo Koon, Upper Jurong
Road and Jurong West Street 93.
Service 258: This is a new service under the Bus Service
Enhancement Programme. It will serve Joo Koon, Upper Jurong Road,
Jurong West Street 61, 64, 71, 75, 81, 82 and Boon Lay Bus
Interchange
Phase Two - 28 November 2015
Service 182/182M: Instead of Boon Lay Interchange, it will start
from Joo Koon Interchange to Tuas South Avenue 9.
Service 192: It will be amended to serve Jurong West Street 63
and Upper Jurong Road and skip Jurong West Street 64, Jurong West
Avenue 4, Pioneer Road North and Lok Yang Way.
Service 193: It will be amended to serve Jurong West Street 64,
Jurong West Avenue 4, Pioneer Road North, Lok Yang Way, Benoi Road
and Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim, bypassing Upper Jurong Road and PIE.
Service 256: A new service, it will ply between Joo Koon
Interchange, Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim, Pioneer Road North, Jurong West
Street 62 and Boon Lay Bus Interchange.
Service 257: It will start from Joo Koon Interchange instead of
Boon Lay to serve Pioneer Sector 2.
Phase Three - 12 December 2015
Service 194: This service will be extended to travel along Jalan
Ahmad Ibrahim and loop at Pioneer Circus.
Service 251: It will be amended to serve Boon Lay Way and
Pioneer Road North.
Service 253: This new service will travel between Joo Koon
Interchange, Benoi Sector, Pioneer Road and Benoi Road.
Service 254: This service will be amended to travel from Joo
Koon Interchange instead of Boon Lay and serve Tuas Avenue 11.
Service 255: This service will also be amended to start from Joo
Koon Interchange to serve Gul Crescent.
Publicity posters of the interchange opening as well as route
details of the 12 services will be put up progressively at affected
bus interchanges, bus stops and on buses to inform commuters of the
changes. Please refer to the attached poster for more details.
Additional staff will be deployed at the new Joo Koon
Interchange during the first few days of the different phases to
provide assistance to commuters. Similarly, staff will also be on
hand to inform commuters of the changes at the Boon Lay Interchange
prior to the shift.
