I'm curious as to why the pair of bus stops along Benoi Rd right outside Joo Koon Int are not given matching bus stop codes - the stop on the west side of the road is coded 23371, the opposite one is 23519.

If this has happened since some time ago, had no one bothered to correct it?

192's current bus stop "opp Joo Koon Int" is coded 23379... But it doesn't have timetables wef 28 Nov 2015, whereas 23371 has timetables wef 28 Nov.

And on 192's poster, "opp FairPrice Hub" is indicated as a new bus stop with code 23519.

Guess 23519 will replace 23379?

There is a new weekday timetable for SBS 241 from 28/11 showing only 30 departures per day!! That's a severe reduction consideting it runs at 3-9 min freq now! You're left with some peak hour service and very limited off-peak service. It coincides somewhat with 99's extension to Joo Koon... Do they expect residents if St 91 & 92 to use Joo Koon instead? If so, that's ridiculous when Pioneer is right next door. Going to Joo Koon will be extremely circuitous. But it's quite strange the weekend timetable remains vastly better at 189 departures per day. Is it just a mistake? No one talked about 241 being affected?

I guess they may increase the number of trips on 241A, while they reduce the number of trips on 241.

Anyway, the loading on 241 and 241A looks promising during peak hours. I doubt they will reduce the total number of trips on 241 and 241A at Jurong West Street 91 and 92, and Pioneer Road North.

Well, if the situation becomes bad, you may want to inform your MP (who is also my MP) about it. I followed his Facebook page. Apparently, he is now doing house visits at 900+ there.

Meanwhile, today 179 once again never come on time. According to Google maps, supposed to come at 7:23am, but instead came a few minutes late, with two buses at the same time. That's minor, I know. The main issue now is not 179 already, cuz anyway 258 starting soon. The main issue now is with Pioneer MRT Station. It's so damn overcrowded in the morning. Have to queue at the entrance to take escalator up to enter station and have to queue to tap card to enter, and have to queue to take the escalator up to the platform. Well, ... what to do? Build new bridge, like Clementi station? LOL. I have to go out earlier or later lor. Otherwise what? ;)

Looking at how limited the driveway space is at Joo Koon Bus Interchange, I do not think there is space for buses to enter from two directions like how it was done at the Boon Lay Temporary Bus Interchange. Although only 99, 182 and 258 come from Upper Jurong Road, while the rest comes from Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim, I think it is best to let all bus services enter from Joo Koon Circle.

The other reason is because all bus services exit at Joo Koon Circle. Rather than let the buses entering from Benoi Road jam the buses exiting to Joo Koon Circle, as they wait for their turn to use the alighting berths, I think it's best to separate the two by letting all bus services enter from Joo Koon Circle.

Will the introduction of 258 cause the diversion of some crowd (that are MRT bound) to Joo Koon Stn during AM peak, and ease the queue at Pioneer / Boon Lay?

Is it worth to extend 241 via JW St 93 / Upp Jurong Rd / Pioneer Rd North for the loopback, then add a G/W variant?

Hi guys... Just a add on, some of you may or may not know this but the joo koon int guides at BNL were cleared by the interchange office because of an error... They threw away most of the guides. New ones being printed

Reprinted already. Those that you see in Boon Lay Int now are the new ones with the colour of 253 corrected.

After almost two years of discussion, the big day is finally here. In just three more days, the brand new Joo Koon Bus Interchange will open.

Today, I saw something at boarding berth B4 of the new Boon Lay Air-Conditioned Bus Interchange. Next to the green colour signboard for bus service 199, there is a new addition. It is a blank grey colour signboard, with what seems to be a sticker of the same colour pasted over it. I guess it is for the new bus service 258 that will begin in three days' time.

It is probably temporary; When bus services 182, 182M and 257 are amended out to the brand new Joo Koon Bus Interchange the following week, that signboard could be replaced with a new one at another place.

While six additional buses continue to add into bus service 99 from Corporation Road, there will no longer be that one additional bus added into bus service 99 from Jurong West Street 71.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no change in Timetable for bus service 243. Glad to know that, because this means that one objective of bus service 258 is to relieve the high loading on 181 and 243 at Jurong West Street 64 and 75.

That one additional bus is introduced from Jurong West Street 71 and turns into Jurong West Avenue 5 towards Pioneer Road North and Jurong West Street 91.

As I studied the timetables of the bus stops along the route of bus service 99, I noticed there is one additional trip starting from the bus stop at Jurong West Avenue 5, after Jurong West Street 71 and before Pioneer Road North.

Nonetheless, this remains valid for only two more days; With effect from 21 November 2015, there will no longer be that one additional bus introduced from Jurong West Street 71.

Thanks for the information...most likely what the original post meant is the downroute trip for service 99 from Jurong West will be cancelled since it will be a two-directional service...

I do not recall if anyone mentioned before service 99 having a downroute trip from that place...

Currently, until this friday, there are 137 weekday trips on bus service 99 at Jurong West Avenue 5 before Street 71, and 138 weekday trips after Street 71, in the direction towards Street 91. The additional trip seems to start at 17:48hrs.

With effect from this saturday, 21 November 2015, there will be 146 weekday trips on bus service 99 at both sides of Jurong West Avenue 5.

From the looks of it, the six trips that will be added w.e.f 21/11/15 arrives at Jurong West Avenue 5 between 5pm and 7pm, and departs Clementi Bus Interchange at around 3pm-3:30pm.
