It is exactly this that differentiates good operators from the
poor ones. SG like HK buses so much — yet SBST doesn't even have
modern door config and PIS. There are NOT new tech mind you — SMRT
had the doors 5 years ago, European operators even
earlier.
This is NOT an excuse to let SBST get away with things since 1.
Many other operators have done it before and 2. SBST is CLEARLY
reluctant to act.
It's a joke thinking that there are still BRAND NEW buses using
the SMC Transit doors that was also found on the VSO 10+ years ago.
Cannot lock properly, slow speed, filmsy and unreliable. The
entrance door is the least user-friendly when it comes to zero-step
entry buses.
If I'm not wrong, the plug doors are the only pneumatic doors
that would open in the absence of electricity.
