Humans are animals with feelings. Its natural that u would develop feelings for your colleagues since u face them close to 10+hours 5 times a week or so. All I can suggest is that you meet up with them at least once a month after u leave. This way, u can find ur "dream job" and work there, and at the same time, u maintain a friendship with people u care about.

I feel it is inevitable to be attached to the people and all after some time, we humans are creatures of habits. Once we are familiar with things and people, we get comfortable.

U wonder how people who r leaving the company handle such situations ???
hmmm... the truth is there are many many many people wants to leave their company... But the reason y they cant leave the company is because they cant find a better pay or better working condition or blah blah...

By not involving with daily activities is actually burning off yr own back bridge...
y I say so ??
1) U may not find a job of yr liking - it may take months or even years
2) By not involving with daily activities will change yr boss view on u - change to the better or change to the worse - it depends...
3) Singapore is very small... the expertise, that u have, world is even smaller... It will be better if u can leave a good record rather than a bad one
4) Even, if u do manage to leave for a greener pasture, who noes, u may get an better offer to come back to yr previous company...

Anyway, the minute u hand in yr resignation letter, yr collegues and friends will zhi dong wont give any job to u for that month 1... hmmm..maybe depends too...
So dont feel frustrated lah... unless, u r saying that u dont want to involve daily activities is to spite yr boss.... hmmm.... that is another different question...

When people are in total control of their emotions, they will not be frustrated... *haiz* do you know how difficult it is to be "in total control of your emotions?"

So in lieu of that, you learn to "cope"... (cope does not mean you go and drink a couple of beers or whatever it is that you do to cope hor...) and that is devise a strategy to overcome your "frustrations" about leaving...
