ShrodingersCat SG I'm opposite! I'm untidy and my hubby gets pissed sometimes I'm also hopelessly blur, and he can tell me REPEATEDLY to put certain things back but I'll still forget one. Living together in the beginning was a .. learning experience Actually its not that I LIKE mess. Its just that, I tend to do things by 'projects' while a project is taking place everything is everywhere. When it is complete, I tidy everything up. But that can be 3 months later. Now he understands that I also have a tolerance level for mess just that I am *cough* MORE tolerant than him.. heehee I make an effort to compromise and what I try to do is to find chores which I know I can 'tahan' and will do them (most of the time) so these become my responsibilities. Luckily, MOST times he is very understanding and everytime I wash the plates, he will attempt to nod approvingly (though sometimes he will say ARGH! why u never keep the dry dishes FIRST before u put the wet dishes on the drainer!!!!) We also have 'space' My workspace is where I can be messy. (Actually not messy, err I just like to have my work spread out so i can organise it easily.. see? hee) BUT BUTBUTBUTBUT I cannot make other living areas messy Like u, I also cannot understand the big deal over a small pile of mess. Esp when my hubby is kampong boy maaa.. can walk around in the mud type. But oh well, be realistic, sincere and compromise. And I am sure u can work things out.
Artiwizoras SG Well here's an easy tip to make yourself neat --> Chuck all the things u do not need into a box and never touch till the end of the day. I have boxes of papers stacked at one corner for that reason and my table's a whole lot neater. Excluding the fact that I lost a lot of important documents in that process. XD
twenty47 SG sometimes saying is alot easier than doing. probably you would understand it because you werent brought up the same way as i am. I will do it. But if I know myself well enough, it is highly possible that i'll slackened or get distracted/carried away by other events that guys do (eg planning for soccer matchs, playing games, play sports etc) I tend to just chuck my things oneside and don't bother placing them back where they came from. That is what i am worried of. Its not a question of wanting to change or not, but the on going effort to keep it up.
Sakuraflower SG haha!!! then ur gf come in handy!!! MUAHAHAHA she help u tidy up the hse!!! MUAHAHA hm... maybe try changing a bit...
