Lemme state that there is nothing for me to fight about because i do not disagree with Threadstarter.
In fact, these personal messages should be posted at times, so to encourage those who are feeling down - but not amounting to serious depression or suicidal intent.

Suicidal thought and intent is different.

In everything, there are two(sometimes more) ways to look at it.

Idea The 'right' way may not be the best way or solution afterall.

A jaded view,so be it,it may be so,so what?
The TS is just trying to help,he is not spreading cult messages or something detrimental to society
Why do you have to assume that someone going to commit suicide soon is going to read this? Why,you pessimistic person?
Cant we think that someone who is contemplating that suicide looks like a good way out of his troubles and dilemmas?
A sort of deterence would be set,words would help to set him straight and clear up his muddled mind

perhaps...the thread title doesnt fit what the thread starter posted.
what he has posted might probably work for people who are down and upset and are faced with certain set backs. but definitely not for the severely depressed and suicidal.

it IS true that for someone who is severely depressed and suicidal, this most probably will only make the person feel worse.

to the TS, thanks for the effort as im sure it has helped some who are upset.
however, perhaps next time you should do a little research before you post things regarding sensitive topics such as suicide...
because truth is, a suicidal person might have been very much triggered (in a negative manner) by what you have posted...

i had been through depression too. i felt that i did not want to go on. I hoped that it would be the end of the world.
Yes, TS may not be very relevant in terms of suicidal problems, maybe cos he never been through depression. But he does not deserve to be whacked to this extent. you think he does?

Yes, I whack everyone whom I dont like, especially people who want to look like what they are not. Too light a reminder will not leave an impression strong enough.

but you have to realize that most people have no idea what it actually FEELS like to be depressed to the point where u'd actually really want to commit suicide.

since you've been there, i assume that you have read articles and stuff about depression and suicide??
do you think those WORDS in those articles and books and whatever can actually DESCRIBE what depression REALLY IS??? i think NOT. depression is something which you will NEVER understand until you've been there yourself.
and so, its actually a good thing in a way for people to talk bad about people who are clinically depressed and suicidal because THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE DEPRESSED.

tell me, do you actually want people to know how it feels to be depressed??? after you have been through all that sh|t, surely you dont want anyone else to go through the same....?

Was a little depressed a few weeks ago Sad ....but now am so so much happier. Hope this can help u. If have any tips share share too!

1) Avoid people with negative energy : E.g. the chronic complainer , E.g. the detestable colleague (this one may be hard, at most quit the job)

2) See the positives out of negatives, and forget the negatives

3) Eat foods u like...haha...coffee works for me

4) Look forward to lunches when u can be in food paradise!

Yes, agree. I wish that i cannot remember what it felt like. i am glad i only vaguely remember. maybe as time passed, the memory will become more blur. And i wish no one needs to go through that.

To Cartman, i think i understand wat u mean, i agree that this thread doesnt really help those with suicidal thoughts, but lets not be so harsh on the TS, at least he tried to help right?

To the TS, although i feel that this thread does not help much, but i do find it meaningful, i appreciate ur efforts and i am very happy to see u trying ur best to help others Wink
