Think you're a little too uptight? Try to control too much over
your members...? Don't pick on fine things and hold your members
like chess pieces on the board to be within your control all the
time...
Try to control your project instead... Set out a few objectives and
try to get things as SIMPLE and CLEAR (to yourself) as possible...
Distribute the jobs in accordance to who is more suitable to do
what... I believe most people can contribute to the project in one
form or another.... Only people who fail to contribute at all (or
is REALLY contributing VERY TOO little) should be given warning(s)
and be considered for being removed from the team... It's almost
impossible to expect everyone within a team to contribute the 'same
amount', nor is it realistic to expect everyone to 'follow suit' as
each is an unique individual... Inappropriately removing a member
might just demoralise a team if not strip yourself of manpower
only...
As a team leader, try to keep your cool and energy level. The LAST
person to be stressed out and messed up should be YOU. Not asking
you to be a superhuman, but remember...
Keep things simple. Keep yourself focused. Get things done.
Good luck?
