And also coz sitting upstairs while plying express got nice scenery to see and also more natural light

My suggestion is should introduce sv 958 that does Woodlands Interchange to Punggol Interchange. Same route as 858 with DDs and turns in at Punggol road, Punggol Field, Punggol Way, Punggol Central to Punggol Interchange.

858 then can be Changi service from Woodlands that can skip certain sectors and stops. For instance 858 can go directly to Sembawang via Admiralty instead of doing ave 9... and can skip stops along Lentor Ave.

Introduce 878 from Sembawang to Airport passingby Seletar airport,Jln Kayu,TPE and 858 can skip Jalan Kayu for good.

858 can transfer 4 duties to Amdep and this 878 can start with 14 buses shared between Wldep/Amdep or from Bt Panjang-Airport share between Kjdep/Amdep

Maybe you should read properly. I have proposed route 958 between Woodlands and Punggol to copy current 858 route till it takes turn on Punggol road. When you do that, you can then make 858 express and it does not need to do ave 4, 9 etc. Also 958 will have majority high capacity buses.

Actually 969 should also fleet add more SDs, running at abit higher frequency. Bendy can give out to feeders since the pax wants the seats.

1 DD > 2 SDs > 1 DD within 20mins.

858, 27 etc. would be better if CGA allows DD. Then, SMRT should put A95s into 858 fleet, with luggage rack. And deploy some OCs also. These A95s should only be fixed to Airport routes. (A95 have slightly more seats than usual DD).

There's a lot of construction going on for Tampines North New Town along Tamp Ave 9.

Funny how the three services plying there all have HUGE loadings (27/72/168).

The area definitely needs new services come 2019.

I think the new ITH will be like Joo Koon type,9 service max but i was hoping that LTA plan at least 25 parking lots.Good if svc 8 & 18 to start there alongside 4 new service for a start.Can use 68 & 71 numbers too.Bidadari & Tengah new town also coming in future.Bidadari can use 14x series while Tengah probably need new numberings or can continue using 20x series after Kent Ridge.Upp East Coast Expansion and Changi Business Park can use 44,46,47 alongside a new service,Most probably 42 & 48 might start from either of these terminals.

Yes ofcourse there will be new services. That's why Tampines North Interchange is being built. I also suspect some Tampines interchange services to be extended to Tampines North.

27/72/168 already have huge loading. By then you can expect a route complementing 27 and feeder to Tampines MRT.

but loading was rather little, with the maximum at marymount station, which was only 4 standees (even with quite a few empty seats)

Is 851 loading always like that? May be reason why it has not got upgrades recently

Definitely not. The peak has already passed when you take bus at 19.35 from Clarke Quay. 851 buses leaving BMR Interchange between 17.00 and 18.30 hours are packed on its route, especially the 17.45-19.00 slot at Bugis/Little India side. That's where the high capacity buses are needed and are not enough.
