Yeap, that was my point: remove certain SDs but maintain similar
capacity by utilising lesser qty of DDs in replacement instead.
Much more effective at solving the bunching problem if they're
looking at reducing bunching.
But nowadays, they're more concerned with reducing waiting times
instead (so this means, bunching is okay to them as long as there
is a bus there)
I wonder who are the advisers at LTA? The frequency for many
feeders is no longer an issue. It is capacity. We just need more
high capacity buses and then you don't need the next bus just a min
away. The number of buses doing in and out of Tampines central
these days is crazy, forming a long queue of buses, and higher wait
time to clear the traffic signal. This is leading to higher run
time on certain services.
