I don't think Mandai road has any issues... if SMRT wants to give 171 some DDs, it can... the loading has recently increased on 171 to justify few DDs.

169 and 103 can do 1 for 1 swap. Make 169 start from AMK and 103 start from YIS.

If I was not wrong it was pulled out at Bukit Panjang, which means it successfully drove through Mandai. But I think SMRT still needs to declare the route DD certified before they can officially deploy DDs on the route.

Once everything is cleared Wldep can deploy 3 DDs for 171 though the service is under Yishun route group.

The slip road from Mandai Rd up to southbound BKE has many low lying branches and is too narrow for tall vehicles to manouver around the branches.

No not LTA but can ask Chye Thiam Maintenance cause its much cheaper.They also have barber service that can cut your hair at a discount price too.

A DD showing "171" was spotted departing Yishun with pax...and the same DD was spotted off svc at BPJ. It was said to be doing 969x171 slot..but was pulled out because 171 isn't approved yet(?)

Yeah..next bus is like <5mins behind from what I heard..and the replacement was a bendy(from AMDEP).
