They will definitely give a bulk of DDs to Sv 190... But SMRT does not have experience with DDs... Why add to the problems of 190... Better to try out on 963...

SMRT areas need more bus service..

Bt Batok still got room for a feeder and a mid haul trunk...Bt Batok to Marsiling might be great.CCK need a trunk svc which ply Keat Hong and loops around Jurong West and a feeder which can compliment svc 300.Bt Panjang can have a trunk svc to Sembawang via Sembawang Rd/Yishun Ave 1 and Yishun MRT.Yishun can have a trunk looping at Admiralty Rd West compliment svc 169,Woodlands just need a short haul trunk that connect most of the feeder/Intratown routes..Sembawang need another feeder.

but then CCK is getting overcrowded...during peak hour sometimes buses can take up to 5-10 mins just to leave the interchange, and often can also observe buses queueing up to park the buses, especially evident for the rigid buses and during meal /peak times... sometimes rigid buses have to park at the bendy lots..

Actually for 964, it's more useful in the evening peak where you will see packed loading. I'm sure those workers would climb up to the upper deck bah..

Awesome. I predicted 187 and 964 to get DDs in this month. I am sure 972 also has got SD --> DD conversion this month. Will keep a look out.

It is because of BSEP. They can only upgrade or add buses to BSEP. They cannot fleet upgrade on SMRT buses.

Hence, bulk of SMRT DDs will be seen going to only services 176, 188, 190, 963 as of now.

I think 962 might be next to get 1 DD from BSEP. Even sv 75 might get.

I do agree that just 1 DD in the whole fleet does not make a huge difference.

I believe 962 will get DDs as it is a short trunk route and since 964 already have 962 may have and yes i saw 964 dd today

Expected. sv 187 has extremely high loading... yet very very few high capacity buses... smrt everyday lose so much revenue on sv 187... even at Lakeside MRT stop, you will see pax cannot board sv 187... already full... those who want to go beyond JE Ave 1... will cramp into bus... others just take 98.

I believe they put on 964 is because the svc is mostly use by workers..not those elderly..

And especially after school sv187 toward woodlands which most of the swiss cottege student boarded from HomeTeamNS busstop full and after which when it reaches ITE, ITE students are unable to board.
