Still no sign of any DDs at Yishun Temp, except for Enviro training buses. I understand if SMRT have not deploy DDs on Yishun services because due to shortage of enviros. But for SBST side I don't understand why they have not deploy any Wrights on 39. SBST have already a lot of Wrights, so they have no problem deploying them on 39.

Problem is Wldep/Wlbp already bursting with buses...If they take partial of 851 duties it would added more burden since both Kranji and Ang Mo Kio already at their maximum capacity including ONP at Interchanges.Bulim is not confirmed yet so LTA is being nice to let SMRT park some of their buses at the depot.

Another possibility is to let a few of 169 duties to Amdep in exchange of 851 slots.

Service like 858 & 966 can let go 4 duties each to Amdep.

I wonder why LTA wouldnt want to built a temporary bus park with refuelling/Bus washing/Maintenance facilities opp Amdep that can hold at least 250-270 buses?At least Amdep can take in a few DDs to ease the burden of Wldep/Wlbp and Kjdep..By the way Seletar Depot will be ready only in August 2017..

I prefer some 858 to AM, early morning start trip can start early from CGA instead of having to wait for 1st bus from WRI to reach CGA...

858 1st bus at CGA is 6.30AM...

Yeah,960 also...My friend shift work near Marina Ctr and morning have to wait 0630 to baord 960 towards Bt Panjang.966 good if 2-3 Amdep buses start from Marine Parade

Btw if anyone noticed, the town map they used is still the old one, with 858 plying Gambas Avenue.

Seems that SMRT forgot all about updating these maps since the early 2010s. Even in other towns.

WLBP where got full?? got space to park so many deregistered O405s... and got space to park at least 20 new MAN A22 and 20 new E500.... if really full, they should have send all the O405 as fast as possible to the scrap yard...

As unexpected just now, I saw a Volvo Olympian SBS double decker bus entering Yishun Temp by making it's one round when entering and leaving the interchange. There is a van with a SBS livery being followed by the bus. By the way the rego is SBS9644J.

There is a great difference between his point and your point...many de-registered O405s are still parked at the lay up corner; it may take up until May or June for them to be sent to the scrapyard completely!

Trees outside Yishun Temp Int along Yishun Central 1 directly opposite Northpoint seen to be trimmed over the weekend (used by 39/85/851/852). However 853/855/857 portion of Central 1 no movement yet.

So that is the reason why 39 still don't have DDs yet. By the way Enviro got do testing on 857 and there are no need for trees to be trimmed along 853/855/857 route.

Dun say no need to trim... Not long ago saw one that of the 972 DD's roofside alrdy dented quite badly due to hanging thick branches which scratched & pushed the panel inwards deeply... If the roofside panel got push in further & it tears, I think you can say bye bye to the DD waiting to be repaired...

There was another DD with upperdeck windscreen totally cracked recently, so dun assume no need to trim... If passable on dry weather, then what about wet weather? The branches are even heavier and will hang even lower...

Dun repeat SBS7499A's step which caused almost half the left side of the roof sheared off along Bt. Timah Rd...
