Most nice and pretty girls will probably be hooked up by someone at age 25..
in the event it is not, there are only a few reasons.
1. a career minded lady.
2. a heart broken lady.
3. a unfortunate lady who is yet to see her nice guy.
4. a lady with serious attitude problem..

Most large companies will have organized functions for interaction, business talks etc.. As someone with 6 companies, she will probably attend quite a few by now.. If she is this nice and successful, She have probably meet or seen a lot of guys at the same level with her.. meaning young, rich successful..

From what i see here.. i think her priority lies with expanding the companies and hitting her goal in life.. or else someone with her credentials will get hooked up long ago..

im not trying to pour cold water or anything.. but i suggest tat just treat her as a friend.. if she really likes u.. u be with her someday..try ur best to know her better first..

No doubt you can love someone, but seriously, I doubt she is feeling likewise and in fact, she didn't do anything suggestive that constitute such conclusion as well.

If you truly go through three things you had mentioned, you will see something:

I) i got to know this lady(26) about 1 month back ....

II) ...she don't like it if i sms her telling her that i miss her and if i ask if she miss me

III)...the feeling that i've once thought i've lost when my ex broke off with me for another guy...

This is a common scenario of a short-term passion burning inside us - so intense that we often mistook it for greater mystery because of a missing void. You could attempt to pursue her, but judging from your current position, you will not succeed and your position may be reclassified to a lower standing.

P.S: Notice why I didn't even mentioned status at all? It is because, the most important criteria is already an issue itself, so let us not talk about the vast difference between you and her... yet. Idea

For your information, only idiot boss will consolidate all into one single company. One down all down. At least with 6 companies, one down and you still have 5 other companies. Please think before you comment on this.

But I do agree that he should at least find out what is her interest and from there try to woo her or impress her with his thoughtfullness. But then again, a rich woman like her, can he afford her kind of lifestyle if she happens to be interested in a higher level kind of lifestyle?

From what I read on what he said, more likely that her "xi xin" is just purely an elder sister towards a younger bro. Nothing more than that. And more ever, at this young age with such success, I won't be surprise that she's more interested in expanding her business career than to spend time on boyfriend. Hoenstly, who can really tolorate having a partner who's ever busy with work and no time to spend with them?

Then again, unless he's a talanted guy who can help her alot in building her business, then maybe there's a higher chance that they might end up together but it sounds more like a business relationship to me than a love relationship.

Short to say, if I'm him, I'll probably just use a needle and burst the bubble myself before I land myself in deep grieve. I'll rather spend more time building up my own career and stable my own life before I'll ever consider having a relationship with a high social status woman.

Ok, I'm gloating. I have a gf now who loves me but I'm penniless. But at least now I know what is it that I have to do. Nothing is more important than building up my career now so that I can give my gf a more comfortable life. I don't think I want my gf to suffer with me.

A woman can do anything she wants to do, I have not sexist views that you are implying. I was only commenting on the age and not her sexual orientation. I agree it was foolish of me to judge that a 26 year old cannot run 6 companies, but I just think that it does not make good business sense to split up 6 companies. And the original post might have over stated the number of companies she might have owned.

I know the difference between consolidation and diversification. For your stock portfolio is great to diversify and lower your risks. But when i comes to the businesses she runs, she can have 6 different companies, which means she has to hire 6 different accounting and auditing firms, and also it is harder to have your company directions and strategis to align. There are also many extra taxes and expenses to pay for when there are diversification of 6 different companies. On paper it definitely does not make sense, unless her businesses are so unique that each of them needs a seperate business.

When 6 companies consolidate into one, they are treated as branches of the parent company. If one of these branches (or companies if you like to call it) does not make money or is making a loss, you can always close down that branch. Its like a stock portfolio or mutual fund. if one of your stock is under performing, just sell it and buy another one that will only affect your portfolio a little bit, it won't affect your whole portfolio.

Why does mediacorp or SPH have different newspapers or TV channels but all under one company. Why does the government have departments instead of privatizing all the deparments. All these efforts are to give more control to the chariman or CEO. There are also more advantages and also disadvantages, but usually the pros outweighs the cons. I would not consider these companies foolish without knowing their company background.

REAL business examples are like AT&T and microsoft, or any monopolies, courts find them guilty and breaks the business up into smaller businesses, this is because it is much harder when your resources are spread out.

I do agree with you in some sense but having 6 companies with 6 different accountants to deal with the figures is hard work but not impossible. "6" is already a small amount comparing to the one I know of. She's in her mid 30s but she had 10 totally different companies dealing with different trade and she's still doing extremely well. If she has the capability, I don't see why should one stick to just one trade.

As for SPH, true they have different papers but then it's entirely for different purposes but still in the "papers" trade. It's an entirely different scenario.

What's wrong with writting and reading and jazz music?
Honestly speaking, I'm born and grow up in SIngapore, a city which isn't lack of night entertainment and other stuffs, but then so what? I occassionally does go clubbing but I don't entirely enjoy it but more like I enjoy the company of my friends. Ultimately what I like is reading and writing too and most time I just love to stay at home and start writing journals and other stuffs.

Many think that someone like me who grow up in a city won't be able to adjust to a small town life where there's no entertainment places. But 4mths back I prove everyone wrong. I went to my gf's town in Malaysia and there isn't any KTV place there. No pubs, no nightlife and there isn't even a cinema and the nearest cinema is 3hrs drive away. It took me less than 3 days to fell in love with the place there. At least during my three weeks there, I don't have to think of where to go or what to do during the night where most of the shops are closed and only a few coffeeshops are open. I'm not in the least bored and in fact I felt relieved. I can indulge myself to do my writtings and readings during the night.

If you think you are boring, then I think I'm at the edge.

Jazz music's cool Mr. Green And so is lounge piano music They're so easy to listen to, & very relaxing. If they make you happier, what can possibly be wrong with that?

I like books too, Not necessarily the heavy-going stuff. For relaxation, I indulge in books with an Asian storyline or something to do with anthropology. An enjoyable way to pass time with my darling is to sit together & read with a drink on hand.

Frankly, anything slow-going is great to balance the hectic pace of working life Mr. Green But Nothing (to me at least) is a good substitute for a vacation Razz

I know running 10 companies at the same time can be done, you can even drive with your feet if you want to. But that doesn't mean you should do it. It is just not profitable and doesn't make good business sense. Does creative have a company for zen, for their sound blaster, for their speakers and for their keyboard?

Or does Apple have different businesses for itunes, ipod and the apple computers? does citibank seperate their banking, stock market, property development into different companies? its cheaper to build one brand name then 10. It is also easy to drop one and create another. you also cannot imagine how expensive account and tax fees are. What are these 10 or 6 companies your so called friends are running? I'll be sure to take it out of my stock portfolio.

SPH is not a different story, it is the same as all the other companies above. They expand their markets and diversify their market share, and since they have the monoploy in singapore they don't have to work too hard. SPH also diversified into properties, why didn't the owners or the government just setup another company? one of the reason is that they have to transfer the money to another account and fall under another tax bracket, and also pay more taxes during the transfer and taxes on cashing out the profits. 10 companies, simply does not make sense. You can have 1 company with 10 divisions with different names, like Toyota makes camry, Lexus and the Scion. The list goes on.
Sucessful companies just merge and consolidate. they don't spilt and divide
