Well, I think it's diffcult to avoid ur ex totally like he/she just send a greeting message of how u do u do. What i trying to say is though a broken r/s does not mean each of you cant be frenZ in the future. In a r/s, wat u need is an trusting and understanding partner, be ready give to give ur umost understanding to creat a mutal trusting r/s. If u love him, believe in him and hav confidence in urself as well as in ur r/s.

is jealousy and distrust the same?

Sounds to me a lot of these people are suffering from jealousy. They just don't want to share the love or time or attention of their partner with someone who used to have it.

Would you equate that with distrust?

i dunno.. i just feel that he is a loser who is always afraid of his girl being snatched away and only thinks about his own interest..

no offence, but the girl should just ditch him...he is selfish and insecure and dosen't trust his gf, at all... selfish not to other ppl but his own gf, imagine he does this not only to you but other guys, this dosen't do gd to her... also selfish in the sense that he dun let the girl see the other "better" opportunities ouit there n keep her for himself.... another thing is the girl is plain stupid...can't see this, maybe u shoul;d show the girl his msgs... see her response, if she sae she ok with it and wanna end ur fren ship, too bad for her, her lose n she is stupid...

a relationship should be filled with love, trust, faithfullness... not a jail...

i have gfs, i do let them mix with their exs, to the extent that 1 returned to her ex, i did feel hurt, but its the good for her coz sees gt some 1 she thinks is better... i will get jealous when my gfs talk abt/with/to their exs or go out with them, she will too if i did the same... btw, i do communicate with my exs also... its all about trusting ur gf, her faithfullness and the best for both parties... true, if either party leaves the relationship, but look on the bright side, u may get a better partner infuture and lucky it isn't aft u r married... also, if u realli love that person, dun limit her/him frm their happiness...

anyway, my boyfriend do have gal friends and i'm fine with that. i don't ask a lot too when he goes out with his friends. but of course if he wants to tell me anything, i would listen la.
this is not what "jail him" or what ba. and i hope he experiences waht "freedom, trust and wahtever la".
however if he goes out with the girls he used to like or what, i would of course feel more...worried? girls are very cunning creatures!
and anyway, if you really do not feel any jealousy or worry, i think it's because you don't care about that person at all! haha..

Some choose to think that of people who don't like their gfs mixing with their exes because it gives them gratification.

But there could be other reasons behind their actions. Remember: a split can hurt. If the ex hurt his gf very much, he may want to protect her from this "creep" (to current partners, the exes will appear to be "creeps" sometimes). I don't think you should conclude whether this guy trusts your ex when you don't know for sure his reasons behind his actions.

Perhaps he's being protective, I wouldn't know, & unless you know him personally, perhaps you wouldn't know for sure either.

Nevertheless, we've only heard 1 side of the story. Not saying that you're wrong, you could be correct for all we know.

I mean we can say he shd have sort out his emotional baggage before getting attached again but... most people don't do that do they?

I had an ex who was constantly talking abt his ex... to the extent of introducing me in HER name accidentally. It was difficult then to leave him, cos I did love him but it did drive me nuts with insecurity especially when she reputedly looks like a model etc etc.

What happens then if you love someone too much to leave him/her even when you know you may not yet be able to win his/her heart truly? He/She may have given a relationship a chance, but trust is something that needs time to build up. Now, whenever if an ex contacts me, I let my husband know. He trusts me to handle it because I give him this security that I love only him.

Its wonderful to have a relationship where both are secure in their love for each other, but sometimes it just doesn't work that way.

They have their own issues to sort out... and if you care for her, and you feel she does love this guy she is with, then I would think you do the gentlemanly thing and let her concentrate on building this relationship.

Afterall, she is not your only friend. And if she is just a friend with relationship problems - I think you can just let her know you will always be available for a listening ear and helping hand, but give her space to sort out the issues she has with her current bf ba.

we decided to let bygones be bygones and continue to be frenz.. perhaps tis was until the guy became particularly unhappy.. and she started digging out the past to talk abt Neutral i din fully blamed the guy. this were just my guess. perhaps the the past was too hurtful bah.. sian.. time to move on.
