SMRT is very kind to do this...Lets all go and enjoy yourselves and be mindful of our behaviour...MOST IMPORTANTLY: DO NOT SPOIL ANY SMRT PROPERTY, esp buses...

azharjj SG

SMRT Buses has since announced the event as a Career Fair:

https://www.facebook.com/SMRTCorpSG/photos/a.567671666587400.1073741825.566549713366262/805418952812669/

The confirmed static display consists of three buses:

- 1 x Alexander-Dennis Enviro500 MMC
- 1 x MAN NG363F (A24)
- 1 x Mercedes-Benz O405 (assumed to be Hispano OAC or CAC)

With plans for SMRT Buses to bring in other buses at certain timings (as to what would they be...let's leave it to the lobbyists).

Work from the Bus Operations Control Centre (BOCC) would be on display for the first time, and a new capability revealed.

I have personal reservations as to whether SMRT Buses is overly optimistic, but for those interested in joining the industry, this is your opportunity to find out more.

I hope that Mr BusAnalyzer will join SMRT

Just hope every visitor behaves themselves, so that SMRT will have more open houses and perhaps start depot visits like what KMB does...

SBS3688Y SG

I deeply appreciate that SMRT has taken the initiative and effort to organise this event. Indeed, my impression of SMRT has changed much better including their introduction of double-deckers. SMRT; keep it up!

wsy1234 SG

it a pity SBST don't have such open house.

Acx1688 SG

You must understand SBST now is different from SBST/SBS of yesteryears...

Under prev CEO, you have 25th Anniversary model, SBS convert to SBST models...

Now...

It is the lobbyists' actions that helped shape the current chilling climate.

And now they are trying to kill SMRT's engagement initative on Facebook, by bringing the media into the picture when things do not turn in their favour.

Its actually quite funny.

Acx1688 SG

Wait, there are transport enthusiasts/lobbyists n other types of transport enthusiasts/lobbyists...

Which does any belong to?!

Saw the posts on SMRT FB, just like selected Singaporeans who like to hound every organisation till they get the out of the world ideas implemented... Its the same with the group lobbying for universal suffrage in HK and wanting to implement ideas outside of the basic kaw framework(OT).

Others are genuinely concern but in a more restrained way...
