Hi mr BusAnalyser, either a new trunk service or a route
extension/amendment will come sooner or later for haig road
request. As I have said earlier, there is no direct linkage for
haig road residents to the nearest Dakota mrt at 1.4km. What I mean
is direct doorstep linkage.
LTA is now very pro-active in giving people direct doorstep
linkage and all those missing linkage at those roads frequented by
only 1 or 2 bus services. Maybe they realized that when Singapore
population was about 3 to 4 millions 10 years ago, many bus
services were abruptly terminated or shortened especially those
that frequented the north-east corridor. Now of course with
population increasing, surely they must put buses back onto the
road. Or else too squeezy for the general non-car driving
population. Cheers.
Happy to know LTA is serious about creating a direct link for
Haig road residents. Just a plea that divert Sv 135 rather than
creating one more new service. The Paya Lebar bus stop is already
so crowded with so many buses, there is no point adding one more
service when Sv 135 can be diverted. Diverting Sv 135 from Haig
will not upset anyone but only benefit.
