protect herself defensively, yet desire love to plant seeds in her
life.
In love, the measure of risk and intimancy is very similar to the
ones of risk and profit. What we fear, we control and what we are
comfortable, we open out. Think about why could you easily write
everything in a single post, but on the other hand if I were to ask
you to reveal them to someone whom you love about your deep-heart
feelings and life, you will probably be so worried and wouldn't be
able to speak as well.
To gain the most out of love, we have to open-up and be emotionally
close. [b]If you can't even be emotionally close to ones you love,
how can a relationship ever grow properly? Yes, being
emotionally intimate would means risk as well, however, even the
best relationship has its own risk. Because you fear and feel the
process in relationship is ever painful, you had to protect
yourself.
By being defensive, your
pain and suffering is a repeated lesson of your resisted
learning - of the ability to give and to give properly. Like
when the grass cuts you, you scream and ran back, failing to
understand that you have to persist in order to leave the dense
foliage. How can you ever move onto the next better phrase in love
everytime you had to present a mask to people you love?
I understand your approach - to receive enough for someone to make
you feel secured enough before you would attempt to be close. Then
I would have to say: read my signature.
P.S: We will not die from giving, in fact, what we gain from
giving, benefit us most of the time. We will not die from being
defensive - but we won't be able to learn anything as well.
Gradually you still have to perform the former. There is no
perfect partner, we can only learn to shape our perfect
love. Learn to love your flaws and improve them instead of
outcasting them and brand them as the unlovable side of you.

hehe I tot u MIA already...thank you for coming back to reply to
this thread of mine
Anyway good advice
I realize I have been closing my heart for quite
sometime now, especially after the failed attempt with my ex-crush.
So somehow I was afraid to commit myself to another person because
I was afraid of loving someone too much again, because it will only
mean I will get hurt just as badly as before...
But I remmeber what Devil1976 mentioned in one of his
"enlightening" post, about the 4 ppl we will meet in life.
Devil1976, thank you for posting that thread. Because somehow it
makes me understand more now...I know now here is someone who has
always been waiting for me patiently, someone who sees me beyond my
flaws..someone who is willing to stand by me when I am happy or
sad. Seeing him is like seeing myself in the past. Before I have
given so much, maybe I gave it to the wrong person...but maybe this
time..I would have a chance finally to give it to someone who would
cherish it...
He is giving me a lot of chances now. I do not want to miss out
those chances. So I think I will take the risk and go with
it...maybe it is time for me to open my heart to someone else
now...I have grieved enuff.
i.c.y
P/S: And yea, you are right on why I chose this nick when i first
