I do admit that u may be cut out from the outside world for a moment but soon u will be back....... it dun make u stupid, in fact it make u stronger, mentally and physically.

Once like you, felt kinda depressed in the army ..... but then just keep telling yrself be a man, take it as it comes, and soon yr training days will be over......

could you do me a favour and let me know if the Chit Chat forum is down or what? i've not been able to access it at all, the last activity entry log was at 12.45 pm yesterday with the Are you afraid of DEATH thread, could you please do me a favour and check if the forum is alive and kicking, if it is and i still can't access it, then i'll just give up and do other stuff instead of checking periodically and getting frustrated.

er, sorry for talking out of topic, i was just so happy to see a familiar face to whom i can ask a favour from that i didn't read the earlier posts.

and Gilalvin, try to take it one day at a time, try to think of happy things and maybe the days will pass faster. dig up some old threads from the Chit Chat forum regarding NS, there are some funny but practical advice from guys who have gone through it.

Do what I do ... *Hee Hee* Grab a really good book, preferable Sci-Fi/Fantasy and read it at every single bloody opportunity. Goods ones to recommend are Brian Lumley's Vampire series (Horror/Sci-Fi), Terry Prachett & Niel Gailman's Good Omens (Comedy), The Last Legends of Earth by A.A. Anato??? (forgot the name) & Greg Bear's Hammer of God (Sci-Fi). If you are unsure about which books, ask me. I'm good with them ...

Or you can write a diary/journal in your weaker language so that you can think things through first before putting them to words. I encrypted mine with hieroglyphs ...

can either of you access the Chit Chat forum of sgforums? i haven't been able to do so since Saturday afternoon and i went to one of Pacific Internet cybercafe to check earlier to see if it was because of my iMac, well it isn't, the forum is still just as dead.

however, there are activity going on in the Chit Chat forum but i can't see a darn thing.

well, somebody talk to me before i die of boredom. Very Happy

thanks for replying, i just got home. are you suffering from withdrawal symptoms? keep busy with what others? i have never even ventured out of the Chit Chat forum prior to Saturday, all these Kopitiam, Aunt Agony or whatever is so new to me and i don't recognize most of the forumites, it's so sad for me Smile . do post a message or two if you check in, wouldn't want my interest in the forum to totally die, although that is not such a bad idea, i must get a life.

The funny thing abt the chit chat forum is, the main pages still accord the latest posting, althou the page itself is stuck at "are u afraid of death" Ermmm, and to think i was the only one suffering from this alienation and it would be my worst nightmare if i know others can post while i can't even access!!!! :p

oh well, we can take this as pseudo-chit chat and while our time away here while waiting for the gods that be straighten up the mess in the main!!! Smile

i'm so happy that you're suffering from withdrawal symptoms, trust i was fuming mad on Saturday when i couldn't access the stooooopid Chit Chat forum that it drove all thoughts of a nap from my mind and let me tell you, sleeping is one of my favourite hobby and i thought i was the only one suffering. anyway, before i forget, you can go visit your honey bunny at the Utopia forum, it's under the Free Forum listing.

okay, for all the non flamers around and those who wish to keep in touch, while Chit Chat is down, why don't we meet in Utopia then? see you there. or we could remain here or we could go to faroutnews.com.

and Mr Hata-san, since when have i ever ventured out of Chit Chat in my 4 to 5 months here? it's only withdrawal symptoms that drove me to seek out all these new avenues.

yah lor, the stooooopid Chit Chat forum is still down, at the rate it is going, my withdrawal symptoms will cure itself, i'm making an effort not to check in at all, lasted from last night 2 am until now, i need a little more work and then i'm home free. me cannot flirt with pacman in the 'singles' thread, i flirt with him in faroutnews.com lor Very Happy , but then kenna suan and censured by Gazy, no fun leh.

you can still go to the Uptopia forum, Revey bunny posts there but i'm really trying to cut down on posting, it's taking too much of my leisure time.

and don't bother to wait for NKH to fix any bugs, he's far too busy. :p

have a great time at work. let's see how long can i last before checking this stooooooopid forum out. bye!
