just a Q to ask, my phantom doesnt have a fuel gauge. therefore i use the 'open n see' and 'shake n feel' methods to check my petrol level.... but how do i really check whether reach reserve liao?
i always turn my fuel switch to 'on'...
does it mean that when no more petrol at 'on' liao, then its time to change to 'reserve'? the reserve confirm stil got petrol meh?

ok, i've got a friend on phantom 200... i suppose it's the same. he rides until he feels a loss of power, then turns to reserve. it is enough for him to get to the next petrol station...

me, my bike has got a fuel gauge. Very Happy

reserve got enough petrol to go on for ard 10 - 20 km. when u feel turn throttle like no petrol go in engine like that, then u can reach down and switch to reserve already.

if you don’t know how it feels… just turn the fuel switch to off and move it a while… then you’ll know how it’s like when petrol is finishing… noe this corz i sometimes forget to turn to on…

oic.. that means i always top up petrol too early liao.. haven reach reserve i oredi pump liao..
cos i around 250km then go pump leh...
never reach reserve yet...
cos i scared not enuff time to find petrol station mah.. Smile

I too have a Phantom 200. Was able to reach almost 350km before hitting reserve on Shell V-Power fuel.

urs is phantom200, 4 stroke consumes less petrol, mine is 150 2 stroke thats y total mileage per tank is about 250-270 onli... mine's gd enuff liao leh, my fren's phantom150 total mileage per tank is 180-200!
i didnt know phantom200 can go up to 350! that is quite alot leh..
my advise is dun use VPower... too ex, wats more i feel poorer pickup, my fren riding SP also say that... i suggest use mobil/esso syn8000 or if u stick to Shell, use the one which is octane98(i forgot the name liao) but not Vpower lar... i remember the color is green one..

For your information, my bike is brand new. Just 474 km in total. My first top up before hitting reserve was 346 km. Let’s see how long I can maintain this kind of mileage.

u r running in ur bike now thats y ur speed is kept at below 100, hence consuming less petrol...
wats more u jus bought ur bike, sure take care of the engine one, dun dare to drag too much rite...
i tink in the near future, when u want to speed up liao, the total mileage wil be around 300-320, according to one of my fren...

I riding version s. Anyway, the fuel consumption thing is dependant on the riding style. If you are always pick up fast. Your consumption will be higher. Danigue, your case quite serious as in... Your consumption can only go less than 300. Many of my frens can hit 330km then go reserve. You now why you 98 can go 280++? and your vpower can only go 240? Cause when you use vpower, you feel the pickup then you throttle more than 98. Thats why your vpower can only go so little distance.

By the way shouldn't we be calculating the milage by distance against liters of petrol instead if distance before reserve?

Currently my Phantom 200 travels about 37 km per liter of Shell V-Power. But usually I carry around a total of 150 kg of weight (wife 55 kg and me 95 kg).

er... you probably mean trip meter right? odometer cannot be reset... you can make all the numbers spin past 99999 back to zero though.. Very Happy
