i kept wondering why pekerman didn't take rodriquez off becuase he didn't seem to do much during the entire match, and fwah out of nowhere, a goal good enough to win any game. Laughing

mexico gave a real good account of themselves.they played with alot of pride and hardwork, but just lacking that bit of quality as shown by the winner. Wink

quite shock to see this result cos expected the argentines to win at least 3 goals… but good work for mex to give the argentines a run for the $$$.... too bad they no more campos…

xfool SG

if u do a search u will find that Argentina have never beaten Mexico with more than 1 goal since 2000 and last 2 matches(last year) they met ended 1:1.

fudgester SG

I had wished that it would be Argentina vs Germany in the final. Sad

Ah well... it was a highly entertaining match. I'm sure the match against Germany in the quarter final ought to be one massive slugfest. Very Happy

DriftingGuy SG

Too tired to watch beyond the 90th minute.. they had to win in the 98th Mad

But the match was fun to watch.. although both sides especially argentina failed to convert 1 or 2 open goals.. And then theres Heinz Rolling Eyes

dragg SG

i never believe in fifa rankings.

mexico have never really performed in the world cup. their quest normally ends at exactly this stage, the 2nd round.

frankly argentina played badly. i gave up watching after 60 minutes. they looked totally different from the one that won the group.

amazing!!!
