hi, this is four_eggs and just to share my exp as i have just
gotten my new nissan march. 1K servicing (free from TC) is to drain
the old engine oil since manufactured and transferred to our port
for LTA clearance, easily the oil is 6 mths old or longer. must
change and also free. no other parts require to change at this
time. it is more for the engine to run in since brand new.
5K servicing (free from TC); no need to change to synthetic old as
the serviceman may want you to top up some $$ as fully synthetic
old is capable for 10K running so waste of $$ if you only drive it
for 5000 km. have not heard about semi-synthetic.
10K servicing (free from TC) is worthwhile to top up some $$ for
synthetic oil and it can last for another 10000 km till 20km for
next major servicing.
parts at service centre is more expensive than outside as they
factor labour charges.
