I picked up my car 2 weeks ago. Check the basic stuff (lights,
windows, keyless remote, horn, aircon). The most annoying part for
me was that the car was dirtier than I expected. Stains on the
dasboard, door, steering wheel, turn and wiper levers. Just check
all round. If you installed solar film, be sure to check for
bubbles.
Remember to drive easy for the first 1000km. Supposed to be under
3000rpm if possible bit since we don't have the rpm meter, just
take it easy on the accelerator.
I've changed 2 things already which has made a big difference for
me. The horn to a pair of Stebel Magnums ($15 but installation may
cost $20) so now at least I have the bark if not the bite, and
headlight bulbs. I bought the extra bright Philips bulbs (H4 is the
right size) at the Motor Show ($36) and replaced the bulbs myself.
The extra brightness can be seen immediately and makes night
driving much safer. Totally LTA compliant.
