Singapore is a very small market and cars are super expensive.
There are about 500,000 cars on the road, and annual sales doesn't
reach 100,000 cars. As a result, we don't get all the niche models
available elsewhere. Nissan tried to position the March previously
as a higher-end creative fun car (e.g. Mini, Fiat 500) but failed
miserably. They are now positioning it as a cheap entry-level
runabout car. The price is more competitive now but they took out a
lot of goodies in the process.
We don't have the C+C here, and I doubt it will sell well here,
which may seem strange to residents of colder climes since we have
sun most of the year. Only the high-end drop-tops sell well here
such as the Saabs, Merc, Audi, BMW, and Mini convertibles. The Opel
Tigra, Megane, Peugeot cc sell few units. Even the Honda S2000 is
very niche.
Enjoy your C+C. Did you consider the Daihatsu Copen?
