Personally, I'm hesitant to squeeze too much out of the engine.
The car I had before this was a Vios. Excellent engine also and
light (less than 1ton) just like the March. Some could do 0-100km/h
in 9+ secs in factory condition. In fact, the VOGS group used to
organize Vios (friendly) races in Pasir Gudang! Took very good care
of it, but I sold it after 18 months to take my current March. In
the days before handing it over to TC, I drove it like a maniac --
hi-rev launch from traffic lights, keeping the rpm over 4000 to
maximize the power band, etc. The day I drove it to TC, the engine
sounded like it was 10 years old! Loss of power was also
noticeable.
I think if the car is not designed for hard driving, then better
not push it too much...
