n0x SG i have my own pc..... and if i own my pc... it doesnt consider hogging does it?? why?? u have to share it with someone??? so sad...
alleggerita SG Ask people elaborate for you right? Then you should elaborate for us too! Why do you think Toyota improved more on the technology? And what is your definition of technology? And what is your definition of improve? Technology can mean a lot of things..but let's assume you are talking about the technology of cam phasing and variable valve timing..Then what do you mean by improve? Do you mean Toyota has made this piece of technology cheaper now? Or do you mean it can help save even more fuel now? So please elaborate more..
alleggerita SG And once again, elaborate on what you mean by 'clean diesel' leh.. Do you mean if the diesel engine meets Euro4 emission requirements, it is clean? Or maybe must reach Euro5 standard then considered clean in your eyes? Or maybe you are talking about diesel-electric hybrids? Or maybe you are talking about diesel with additives like urea..like Merc's Bluetec technology? So which one you referring to?
AE86tofu SG may i repeat myself...there IS NO difference....in terms of efficiency BMW's engines will always be better than toyota's....
AE86tofu SG does VVT-I run on 2 camshaft profiles?? can u get very high power output w/o sacrificing low end power?? VVT-I is meant for economy rather than performance...
alleggerita SG x2 Hence it's very hard to tell which is better when the similar technologies applied by BMW and Toyota are used to achieve different aims..
alleggerita SG If that's the case, you are very easily contented..please go research dude..now nearly 100% of new petrol-powered cars that gets put on our SG roads are Euro4 compliant.. Added: Some are even Euro5 compliant already..
mh2 SG the topic is valvematic vs Vanos or whatever, thus there is a definate different. must i say that continous lift and phase on both intake and exhasut cant be compare to 2 camshft profile, ?? the ECU in toyota is gear toward fuel efficiency(not performance) most likely nonetheless
casshern SG toyota came out with VVTs not with performance as a main objective i guess, but more of fuel economy. i dont tink it will be fair to compare VTEC,VVTs and VANOS
mh2 SG Originally posted by alleggerita: If that's the case, you are very easily contented..please go research :very easy contented? you think Emission controll easy to achieve ar, do u need to live in a so pure environment go live in the moon then !
mh2 SG look like you are a fan of BMW, i was so surprise to find out that PML / luxury car distributor mark up their profit so high compare to USA market
