Do you eat ham?

What kind of ham do you usually buy? Picnic ham? Shoulder ham? Chicken luncheon? Chicken & mushroom? Honey baked? Apple baked? Leg ham? Breakfast roll? Chicken roll?

Do you get your ham in slices or do you buy an entire 1kg chunk of it? Do you buy the kind that comes in thick stacks and cost less than those at the counter? And do you plonk those pre-packed slices (maybe 5 slices a pack) into your shopping basket instead of approaching the counter?

If you buy them in slices, do you ask for X number of slices or do you ask for XXXg?

Or do you prefer roast beef in your sandwiches? Surprised

What do you do with your ham? Sandwich? Salad? On their own? Wrap around veggies and snack on them?

For normal sandwiches, nothing beats the picnic ham to me - cheap n good mah.

But taste-wise, the honey baked ham seems better. Yum! Very Happy

Though there are different types of ham, I dun seem to find a lot of difference, whether it is taste or texture. If anyone knows, care to share? Confused

Sometimes buy turkey ham or chicken roll, or buy honey baked ham for breakfast coz can see it comes from the whole leg, instead of picnic ham (what is made of, anyway...mince?).

Also, I can't taste much difference btn honey baked ham and apple baked ham...!?!

IMO since we buy small amounts (200-300gm? ) the difference in cost isn’t that significantly great so I would buy Honey Baked rather than picnic – we much prefer taste of Honey Baked.

but lately she has been buying lots of packets of salami and pepperoni for sandwiches

but if she gets those at the meat counter...she usually asks for THIN slices and she goes by kg

when i low budget i jus get picnic ham
i like honey baked ham, breakfast ham, gourmet ham....
and pineapple ham...but bery rare!

order by grams
ranging from 200g to 500g
200g is when i eat shuang one, means ham kosong, jus ham! tear into bits and pop into mouth when watching tv.....
500g is when im making sandwiches, pasta.......
