So you're implying that all the sandwich deli in Rome, Florence
and elsewhere in Italy serve the same lousy Italian ham which the
locals love? Coz I only ate it while at these places.
Perhaps what you ate wasn't the authentic thing, but a version
customised for softer palettes.
